Michael Troy has been an associate of Merchant Law Group LLP since 2001. Michael obtained his Law Degree from, the University of New Brunswick, prior to that he received a Bachelor of Arts in History from York University and a Law Bachelor of Arts from Carleton University. Michael is a member of the British Columbia Law Society and the Saskatchewan Law Society. He is also a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia.

Steven Roxborough is the managing partner of the British Columbia operations of Merchant Law Group LLP. Steve is passionate about the law and highly values access to justice.
Steve attended law school in the nation’s capital, and obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa. Prior to attending law school, Steve received a Master of Arts and a Baccalaureate in Science, also from the University of Ottawa.
Previously, Steve was an Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia with the NBK Institute of Mining Engineering, and continues to give guest lectures on the topics of law and ethics at the University of British Columbia..
Steve is a member of the British Columbia Law Society and a former member of the Saskatchewan Law Society. He is also a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia and an annual subscriber to the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia.
Steve is a former national team athlete and is a current board member of the Canadian Center for Mental Health in sport which is an organization designing, implementing, and evaluating the first integrated, sport-centered mental health care model for Canadian competitive and high-performance athletes and coaches.

Sunny received her Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in 2019. Prior to joining Merchant Law, she articled and practiced at a boutique firm in Calgary, Alberta where her focus was immigration, wills and estates, and family law.
